Pricing & Session Types

Quality photos are an investment. Taking a picture is one thing, creating photographs is another. I have always prided myself on offering quality photography at affordable prices. I believe that everyone should have access to beautiful photos that they can cherish for years to come. My base rate for all session types is $150 per hour. Below you will find details regarding session types. You may also find answers to your questions in the FAQ section at the bottom of this page.

Families

Let's get you some updated family photos! The standard rate of $150/ hr. applies to this session type. The session can take place at a location of your choice - even your home! See the FAQ section about how many family members you can bring along as well as information regarding travel.



Seniors

High School Senior Photos: you are either a senior looking forward to them or I will have to tell you to bear with me. Either way, I try to make it an enjoyable experience. This session type usually includes 1-2 locations, 1-3 outfit changes, and usually takes at least an hour. The standard $150/ hr. rate applies to this session type. Please see the FAQs below about travel to locations.


Add ons:

  • A 30 minute family session at a discounted rate of $50 if you book a senior session of at least 1 hour.

Maternity/ Newborns


Some of my favorite photos I have taken have been maternity photos. There's just something about that mama-to-be glow! For both maternity and newborn photos, the standard rate of $150/hr. applies. Typically, 1-2 locations are selected as well as 1-2 outfit changes. See the FAQ section below regarding travel prices.


Other options to consider:

  • Hospital photos: I offer 15 minute increments for this session type. The goal is to not overwhelm you or your new baby while also capturing those newborn details.
  • Birth Story: I have not done a birth story session, but I would love to do one someday. These would be photos of your labor, delivery, and newborn. Contact me for special discounted prices for being a few of my first experiences with this session!

Kids, Pets, and Events


Whether it is a cake smash, a first birthday, or you need some photos of your fur-babies the standard rate of $150/hr. applies. Please see the FAQ section for information on travel prices.

Weddings/ Engagements / Couples

Weddings

Quality photos of your wedding day are what you will look back on for years to come. I require a block of at least 1 hr. scheduled for this session type. Please see the FAQ section for information on travel fees. Please contact me regarding specific needs!

What happens after my session?

Editing: I want to deliver you the best photos from your session. All photos are retouched and edited. Editing currently takes about 1-2 weeks from the date of the session but could take longer during peak seasons. I will communicate editing times to you at the end of your session. I typically deliver approximetly 70 images per hour of shooting.

Photo Delivery: After our session, I will ask you for an email address. After I have edited your photos I will add them to a Google Drive Folder. I will then share the folder with you via email, and you can then view and download your photos to any device.

Printing/ Publishing: In the Google Drive folder, you will see a document titled "Photo Release". This document allows you to print your photos wherever you would like. It also allows you to post your photos, make cards and invitations, or share your photos however you choose.

Do you shoot outside of the Bemidji, MN area?

Yes. I will happily meet you outside of the Bemidji, MN area! However, travel fees may apply. My current travel fee is $10 for every 30 minutes I have to travel outside of the Bemidji city limits.

How many people can I have at my session?

The more the merrier! I love photographing large families, it's always such a fun way to get the whole family together. When you bring your immediate family, whether you have 6 kids or 6 fur children - the usual rate applies. If you are bringing along extended family (grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.) an additional $50 will be added per extra family.

Example:
You, your spouse, and your kids = $150/hr.

Your brother and his spouse = $50/ hr.

Your mom and dad = $50/hr.

= $250/ hr. TOTAL

Explanation: I would photograph the large group, all kids together with mom and dad, all adults together, all kids with grandparents, each individual family, etc. I will make sure we get all of the combinations! Technically, if you think about it, it's a good way to get a discounted rate and get everyone together (wink)!

Payment Information

Payment is due at the end of the session. In the event we are under our session time I will prorate the fee, if we go over our time, extra fees will be added to your total in 15 minute increments. If you feel as though you have had an exceptionally positive experience you are welcome to tip. I take cash, check, Venmo, Facebook Pay, and cards.

Contract

I currently use contacts for weddings only. For other sessions, I will discuss details with you via email, text, or Facebook Messenger (in writing) - which ever you prefer. If you prefer to have a contract, I will happily supply you with one. Once we have details finalized I will write up a summary containing information such as price, location, time, etc. so that we are both on the same page.

Cancellation / Rescheduling

Things come up, I get that! Whether we need to cancel or reschedule, we will find a solution!

Cancellation: If you need to cancel your session all together a fee of $50 will be charged to you IF you cancel less than 24 hours before the shoot. If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, the fee will not be charged.

Rescheduling: If we need to reschedule your shoot due to weather, natural disaster, family emergency, sickness, etc. a fee will not apply. If you need to reschedule due to scheduling conflicts, your in-laws are running late, etc. a fee of $25 will apply.

I am a very flexible person, if you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible and we will work something out!

Help! I lost my photos!

While the Google Drive is my favorite way to deliver photos because there is no tangible item to lose, I understand things can still happen. Maybe you got locked out of your account, your phone is at the bottom of Lake Bemidji, or any other failure of technology has happened, don't worry! I will have your photos saved on the Drive and can grant you access again. If that doesn't work I have all of my photos backed up on an external hard drive. And if that STILL doesn't work, my photos are backed up again on a cloud storage. So no matter what happens - I will make sure you can always come back and get your photos!

What kind of gear do you use?

When we meet at the agreed upon location just look for the blonde girl with the camera! Of course I will bring my camera with me - my favorite camera is my Canon 6D Mark ii, but I also have a Canon Rebel T3i I will occasionally bring along. I will bring my camera bag backpack that contains extra batteries, SD cards, lenses, lens cleaners, and other miscellaneous camera items. I even have some extra bobby pins, hair spray, and candy for bribing kids! All to make sure that we get the photos you are looking for!
